The Waterside at Lake Texoma community held a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday August 26. The neighborhood is projected to be a beautiful gated community with two entrance/exits, consisting of 43 home sites available. The lots range in size from 1/2 to 3/4 acres. The site will also offer a large greenspace and amenity center for all members of the Waterside community to access. There will be two boardwalks that lead to the water and sandy beach areas for residents of Waterside to enjoy gorgeous Lake Texoma. The boardwalks will be wide enough to accommodate golf cart traffic moving in both directions. Boat storage will be permitted on site and dock access is a short 10-minute drive down the road making it easy for this community of lake lovers to partake in all Texoma has to offer. Waterside at Lake Texoma is located at the intersection of Post Office Road and Birdy Road in some of Kingston’s beautiful countryside. The land is bordered by scenic farmland to the north and east. The water of lake Texoma can easily be accessed along the south, being the largest side of the property. It is home to beautiful trees and open skies. This development of luxurious homes will become the new standard for what a community can be and the feelings of true connection that it will harbor for all its residents and their visitors alike. Developer Dallas Moore, with his wife Melissa, and their dream team have dedicated so much more than their time, skills and hearts to this development. This community is not only showcasing their talents and experience but also the commitment they have to what is most important and is focusing on tomorrow. “This is a beautiful master planned community, designed to build a legacy for all the tomorrows to come.” said Moore. Moore said this was an important milestone for him and his team to celebrate new ventures, whilst providing a chance to honor God, America, his wife, his parents, Tim and Ann Moore, as well as all the wonderful people involved in making this come to fruition. “Dream Team” members include Chris Duroy, Marshall County Commissioner, DewayneBennett from Bennett-Morris and Associates Land Surveying company in Madill, Lane Spann with Man Hard Consulting out of Dallas, Lena Smith Real Estate Agent and Bob Durrant putting the art in Architect. Moore said the community even though it could be a vacation spot, it was still based on three pillars. “This whole hearted design was built upon three pillars being Community, Traditions, and Legacy,” said Moore. The neighborhood is designed to be a weekend getaway or fulltime home for families to foster connection and tradition with others in a community who dream of the same. As future homeowners at Waterside themselves, Moore and his wife seem to be proud of the housing development.
KINGSTON — On August 26, Honey Creek Ventures hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the Waterside at Lake Texoma residential neighborhood. The event, held under a large outdoor tent on Post Office Road south of Kingston, was attended by approximately 40 guests. Developer Dallas Moore and his wife, Melissa, hosted the ceremony, marking the beginning of construction on the 43site residential neighborhood. The project, designed to be a small, gated community, will feature homesites ranging from 1/2 acre to 3/4 acre, along with a large greenspace area and an Amenity Center. In his remarks, Moore shared the journey that led to the creation of Waterside, saying, “Several days after we closed on the purchase of this property in October of 2022, I found myself driving through the gate, circling around these massive, towering trees and parking right here next to this tent. I stepped out of my truck and pushed my way through waisthigh grass, shrubs, and dead tree branches, and began to survey exactly what it was that we had just purchased.” What began as a search for a private lake home evolved into the development of a neighborhood rooted in three enduring pillars. Moore emphasized, “Today marks a significant milestone as we break ground on a neighborhood that will be built upon Community, Traditions and Legacy. This neighborhood will be more than just a collection of homes; it will be a vibrant, interconnected community where neighbors become friends, families grow together, and every resident feels a sense of belonging.” Special guests at the event included County Commissioner Chris Duroy, Wayne Bennett (Bennet-Morris and Associates Land Surveying), Lane Spann (Manhard Consulting -Dallas, TX) Architect Robert Durrant, and Realtor Lena Smith. Each spoke to the importance of the project and its future impact on the Lake Texoma area. Construction of the dirt work grading, installation of underground utilities, and the concrete-paved roads is set to begin within the next 3-4 weeks. The developer is targeting early to mid-summer for the start of home construction. Leading up to this, potential homeowners will have the opportunity to select and purchase their lots and choose from 2-3 hand-picked builders who will have exclusive rights to construct homes in the Waterside community. The ceremony concluded with a Benediction given by Reverend Tim Moore of Sulphur, followed by a catered barbecue lunch from Sexy Pig BBQ, a local favorite from Madill. Guests were invited to select a complimentary Waterside-branded keepsake from the “Swag Shack” and were treated to golf cart tours of the property, offering a closer look at the staked locations for the lots, roads, Amenity Center, and neighborhood entrances. The event was met with enthusiasm from attendees, many of whom expressed excitement for the project and its potential to create a lasting legacy in the area.
